Members of our firm within our Construction Litigation group focus on defending claims brought against construction design professionals.  Architects, engineers and other design planners may face design/plan adequacy, specifications accuracy, project oversight, code and contract compliance, and subcontractor selection criticisms on commercial and residential projects our staff is prepared to defend.  We rely upon our encyclopedic knowledge of building and other code provisions, our relationships with leading experts, and our experience with construction form contracts to prove our client’s standard of care and contract compliance.  We’re also familiar with recent legislative actions pertaining to loss allocation, limitations statutes, and contractor/subcontractor relationships – and recent appeals court decisions interpreting legislation – that affect construction project legal outcomes that can affect the design professional.  Because many construction cases are resolved at mediation, we also possess superior experience in this region in achieving client-preferred outcomes in alternative dispute resolution proceedings.
